Billing & Insurance Policies

Billing for lab tests is usually handled by Labcorp, our external lab-contracting group. You can manage your bills and payments quickly and conveniently at the Labcorp website.

To find out if Labcorp accepts your insurance, a list of Labcorp-friendly insurance providers is available online.

All other billing is handled in the office. Full payment is due when service is rendered unless it is covered by Blue Cross Blue Shield PMD or qualifying insurance plans. This applies to all patients unless explicitly waived by the physician. If your insurance plan does not cover all the costs of your office visit or tests, you will still be responsible for the unpaid portion.

No-Show Policy

Our no-show policy allows us to accommodate sick patients on a work-in basis.

Appointments that are not cancelled 24 hours in advance will be charged a $35.00 fee.

If you are unable to reach the office, you may leave a message with our answering service after hours or on weekends.

If you have a question about medical insurance coverage, notify the number on the back of your insurance card. To understand the various coding numbers, it might help to have a copy of an ICD-9 Code key.

There is a $30.00 charge on all forms completed, including FMLA, Life Insurance, and Disability applications. This fee must be paid when the form is picked up, or before it is mailed or faxed.

If you need a copy of the medical records in your office file, please talk to one of our receptionists and ask for their assistance in this matter. Generally, we charge a $1.00 fee for copies of lab reports and single papers. If you request more than 25 pages of records, we have a discount rate that applies.
